"It was a great visit! My favorite during our study trip in Finland. Thank you!"

Zoé from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d´Architecture de Paris-Belleville, on April 2012

"We just arrived back home and started to look back through our pictures. They bring back such wonderful memories of our visit with you at Villa Kokkonen. It was quiet special. I am not sure if I am remembering the correct song but I think it was Paavo's Choral. At the very ending of the song I just loved how Antti pulled back the final phrase and then gently released it again and Elina was perfectly in the moment with Antti. It took my breath away. Very beautiful."

Kenneth Kallahan, Wisconsin, USA, on April 2012

"Now we're back from Finland for some time but still gladly thinking back of our great trip to Finland and Aalto's Architecture. The time we spent at Villa Kokkonen was something really special and definitely one of the highlights of the whole journey. We and our students enjoyed it very much and we will never forget it"

Isabel G., Dipl. Arch. ETH SIA, Zürich, on March 2012

Music, coffee, cakes and discussions with you made it possible to feel ja hear - not only to see - the house. You bring a warm and kindful atmosphere into the rooms. It is a fun and pleasure to be here. Thank you vey much for this wondeful and personal tour in the house.

"It was a lovely surprise when I walked to the house. I did not expect such a great tour with live music as a dessert."

Ina Moens-Broens, Holland, 2011

It is a very nice house and I am so impressed with the very kind guided tour and wonderful music!! And chocolate cake was delicious. I will visit Villa Kokkonen next year again!

Charmaine and I wish Elina and Antti all the very best on sharing their love and passion for Alvar Aalto and Joonas Kokkonen. To those fortunate enough to visit Elina and Antti at Villa Kokkonen will be rewarded with a unique and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Architecture and music are harmoniously combined to uplift and inspire through space, light and acoustics.

Villa Kokkonen is an experience extremely worthwhile for those interested in the composition of the arts.

Dear Elina and Antti

A note to thank you for the great visit we had to Kokkonen.

It was a place we wanted to visit on the way between one thing and another, but turned out to be, for most of our tour group, a real highlight.  Antti’s guidance around the Villa was excellent and full of interesting information, and the recital you gave us was really moving.  It was wonderful to experience the space in such a rich and integrated way.

All the best to you – and thank you again.

Architectural Office Aebi & Vincent from Switzerland came via GLUR REISEN
to Villa Kokkonen for a visit of 3 hours. Their visit was hosted by Elina and Antti. In the photo above with Elina,  Mr. Aebi and Mr. Vincent  are about to leave Villa Kokkonen to get to the airport of Helsinki in 25 minutes. Instead of tears of goodbye there are smiles of seeing again in the future!
